Site Inspections

Prior to any work being undertaken by a contractor on any property, whether refurbishment or demolition, a Refurbishment and Demolition Survey is required.

Our team has the knowledge, skills and expertise to support you at every stage, and we also engage the specialist skills of our trusted partners where necessary.

Prior to any work being undertaken by a contractor on any property, whether refurbishment or demolition, a Refurbishment and Demolition Survey is required.

We can arrange and undertake these surveys on your behalf. Our survey team will undertake a comprehensive survey and produce a Waste Management Report in advance of any demolition or excavation work being undertaken.

For non-domestic properties it is mandatory to have a written Asbestos Management Plan. The starting point for this is an asbestos survey to ascertain if asbestos is present, where it is and what condition it is in.

Working with our specialist partners NAS Laboratories (surveying and monitoring) and removal (Rhodar) we will conduct these surveys as part of your demolition Programme of Works.

Most building projects or jobs involving excavation will require a trial hole or site investigation. At AAL we are able to provide the necessary method statements as well as dig the holes, safely store the separated soil and refill the holes once the testing is complete.
As part of the surveying process, we will work out a programme to protect inhabitant species and local wildlife, working with local partners such as Nurture Ecology if appropriate
This involves excavating a precise sized hole in a designated area, filling it with water and then monitoring and recording the level of water at set intervals. This process is usually repeated at least twice.

We can provide everything from the Method Statement, to fencing off the site, digging the hole, delivering the water and monitoring and recording the results for submission to your engineer or the Planning Department.
